About me

Hello, I live in Iowa City IA and moved into my current house in Nov. 2010.  This house was a fixer-upper when the previous owners started and did quite a few good things, but a few not so good things.  My wife and I have been working on it since we moved in.  I never did much gardening until we got this house and now I can’t seem to stop.

I am an atheist and a skeptic (hence the name of the blog).  I’m happy to talk about my non-religion as long as it remains civil.  I define myself as a skeptic as I use evidence and science as often as is possible to make decisions about my life.

At the end of November 2012 I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis (chronic colon inflammation).  So I will be writing about any and all of these topics on my blog, so read it or don’t, whatever.

Good luck with your garden endeavors. It takes years! That is the fun part though.

Gardening is certainly addicting — and I’m a bit of a garden pusher. You may want to explore Blotanical.com — it’s a garden blog search engine of sorts. There is a link on my site. Enjoy Spring!
